Food & Beverage

Testing foods and beverages is always imperative due to the numerous possibilities of contamination that lead to a variety of illnesses.  Producers and suppliers must respond to an influx of FDA regulations to achieve safe foods and beverages.

There are millions of cases of foodborne illnesses each year, including Salmonella, Coliforms, Escherichia Coli, Bacillus cereus, Campylobacter jejuna, Clostridium botulinum, Listeria, Staphylococcus aureus, and Shigella.  Each of these organisms, most commonly found in raw or ill-prepared food, are hazardous to human health.  Screening of various microorganisms present in a specific food or beverage sample ensures quality and safety of the product.

Safe foods undergo multiple tests before the FDA accepts them. The FDA requires food and beverages to go through testing before considering them safe.  Unsafe foods can be improved and sent back for further testing to achieve the highest quality products.  At Accugen Laboratories, a typical food or beverage sample takes between 5-7 days to complete testing.  We also conduct custom food testing studies to cater to varying needs.
